Currently Loving 9x12
A few months ago, I did this layout for Kelly Purkey Shop, using a stamp set designed by Life Love Paper. This was my first layout using 9x12 pocket pages, and I kind of fell in love with this format. For the past couple years, I primarily documented in 6x8 pocket pages, with the occasional mini book thrown in. Does anyone else get super inspired by a change in format? This year, I started documenting in a traveler's notebook and in 9x12 pocket pages, and I feel more inspired than I've been in a long time. Sometimes, switching things up is just what the doctor ordered.
The concept for this layout was pretty simple. I really wanted to use this stamp set! I love pretty much every thing Tina designs. I used watercolors and stamps to make journaling cards where I could list my current interests and loves. Then I printed a bunch of pictures that represent some of these things.
Once I decided what I wanted to do, it came together quickly, and I love the way it turned out. And thus began my new interest in 9x12. I'd like to do a currents spread for each month (although I'm already a couple months behind), and I've recently used this size to document weekend trips and family events - it's perfect for when you have a lot of pictures, but not really enough to justify an entire mini album.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll be sharing more 9x12 layouts in the future.
Thanks for reading!
