Up and Away
My school year ends this week, and things are winding down around here. I’m looking forward to some much needed down time to tackle some major documenting projects. The biggest one is putting together an album of my Europe trip from April. I love tackling a huge travel album, but I really need a large chunk of time to dedicate to it. So, in lieu of a full album, I’ve done some traveler’s notebook layouts and a project life layout featuring some of my favorite pictures from this year’s trip. The May release from Kelly Purkey Shop is travel themed, so I was really excited to have some fresh travel pictures to work with this month.
The first project I put together features the (unfortunately sold out) Departure kit. It’s perfect for all your air travel pictures. Because if you’re like me, you document every bit of the trip, including the flights.
I kind of love the red and blue here. Matches my airplane chocolate. I love that airplane stamp. I stamped it onto a shipping tag and added some additional journaling.
I went a little crazy this month and ended up doing five traveler’s notebook layouts, using the Travel Numbers traveler’s notebook kit and the Travelogue mini kit designed by Life Love Paper. Both of those are also sadly sold out, but there are some digital offerings you could check out.
The Travelogue mini kit included these details pages in a couple of colors, and I ended up using both of them to highlight a couple of my favorite cities. Here’s a little tribute to Barcelona.
Here’s the other details page. I used this one to document Nimes. The thank you card came in a tiny little cards that I got on clearance at a bookstore. I like the way it mirrored the ready set roam text on the sticker I used.
I did a fair amount of math to get this layout done. Mainly adding flight distances and driving distances. I love the Travel Numbers kit because I love data! I can’t help it. I’m a scientist. I had so much fun incorporating stamping into my journaling on this one.
The papers in the Travel Numbers kit are so perfect! I love the orange and blue together, and I love how they match my birds of paradise picture. This layout features the Rio alpha and some stamps from the Travel Words set. Had to work in “hola”, “gracias”, and “adios” on this one.
And one last layout featuring some of the essentials and souvenirs I stuffed in my carry on for the flight home. That cute cursive alpha near the bottom is called Athens, and it’s also new for this month. I love how the letters link up.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my work. Like I said, the kits are sold out, but there are stamp sets and digital files still available. The shop link above is an affiliate link, if you want to check it out.
