Lazy Days
Do you ever find that the fewer obligations you have, the less you actually get done? I’m on summer vacation right now, so no teaching, lesson planning, grading. The building is being re-wired, so I’m not allowed in to work on my classroom. I have absolutely nothing school-related to do. Which means I should be getting tons of projects done at home, right? Well, about that.
These days, I’m great at lying down, napping, binge watching Stranger Things 3 and Schitt’s Creek. You know, really important stuff. I’ve also managed to get caught up on some memory keeping projects. I documented this year’s Europe trip, and caught up on Project Life, and finished up a few traveler’s notebooks. So that’s something, I guess.
The June release from Kelly Purkey Shop has been very helpful in that endeavor. It’s summery and bright and perfect for all those vacation memories. I put together three projects with the kits this month.
The first project I did uses the Summer Bucket List traveler’s notebook kit. I used stamps to separate the things I want to do this summer into categories. And wow do I need to stop lying around the house if I’m going to check off some of those items.
I love that Summer Bucket List stamp. I love making lists, and summer vacation is definitely an occasion for list-making.
Life Love Paper created a mini kit this month called Summer Adventuring, and I used it to put together this project life spread documenting a trip to Old Sturbridge Village with my family.
I’m a little obsessed with that flower card and the hand illustration. Tina always includes the cutest and prettiest little details.
The pictures are telling most of the story on this layout, but I used some journaling cards and label stickers to add a little bit of journaling.
Finally, I did a quick traveler’s notebook spread featuring the Rosa alpha and the Sun’s Out stamp set (also by Life Love Paper). When I want to document quickly, I always go with a full page photo in my traveler’s notebook. I love this one of my niece. I just glued the photo into my notebook, added a little stamping, a quick note, and was done.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my projects. The main kits are sold out, but there are still some stamps and digital files available if you like the products I used here. The links in this post are affiliate links to Kelly Purkey Shop.
