Documenting Obsessions
For years, I've been including lists of the things I'm into in my project life albums, and now that I've started documenting in a traveler's notebook, I'm starting to include current loves there as well.
On this layout, I wanted to document a recent concert. I've been obsessed with this band since the 90s, so I wanted to highlight how amazing it is to get to see them live. I'll even go as far as making my friend drive to Baltimore with me for the weekend just to catch a show.
This one's just some really simple stamping. I used a label stamp set from Studio Calico to create this messy background and make spaces for some journaling and the date.
I've also decided that I'm pretty into the full page photo in the traveler's notebook, though I might have to use them sparingly since they add a lot of bulk to the notebook.
Here's another layout that uses a full page photo. The binge watching stamp from Kelly Purkey Shop was perfect for this one. The paper I chose is probably around 10 years old. I dug deep in my stash to find one that had the right feel for this spread.
I got really into this show, which is so dark and disturbing, but sooo beautifully done. They recreated late 1800s New York City in such painstaking detail, and the costumes were so gorgeous they took my breath away. They probably took Dakota Fanning's breath away, too, because those corsets were intense. Karen and Georgia recommended it on an episode of My Favorite Murder (the one where they talk about Jesse Pomeroy, because he makes an appearance in the show) and I had to check it out.
I love including little details like these in my documenting. When I flip through past albums, it's the little details I love to see most.
